markcuk Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 BMW confirm withdrawal from F1 - Planet-F1 News - from planet-f1.com shame sauber were good hope he buys the team back.
teejay Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Not too sad to see them go tbh, apart from the probable job losses. Too corporate and '3 year plan' mentality. Wouldn't be sad to see Toyota go either. Much prefer proper independent racing teams, whose whole dna is to race
everton4europe Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 I hope Kubica can get a drive next season. He is such a talant. He just needs a competative car.
Michael Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 I'm not surprised really and I think other teams will most probably follow. Formula 1 costs an incredible amount of money and investment. Profits are being squeezed due to the recession and clearly large companies are not making anywhere near the profits they'd like. BMW as we all know primarily target the luxury car market and they're probably selling so few cars that continuing with Formula 1 could ruin them.
Oops_my_bad Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 I blame the 3rd-lane hogging arrogant t*ssers who drive their cars, perhaps they are finally ruining their image!?
