gshaw Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 What kind of firewall \ content filtering system do you have in place? You might be able to stop it at source before it even gets as far as the machines... Or thinking about it just block downloads of .mpg from the Internet completely?
jpenn Posted July 24, 2009 Author Posted July 24, 2009 It's not from the internet in's a server on our intranet. It is all for educational purposes but we just dont want each one of our 1200 pupils to have 2Gb of video by the end of the year
tom_newton Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Depending on how your filtering is set uo, if you are using a proxy.pac you may be able to perform some fun trick there?
jpenn Posted July 28, 2009 Author Posted July 28, 2009 We have it!! All we needed to do was put that intranet page into it's own Zone in IE then restrict file downloads from the site. Sorted in GP
