Sylv3r Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 Does anybody know whether its possible to pull logs from Sharepoint to see who and when people logged on as well seeing what they do when logged on? Pages accessed / files downloaded etc. I think all the above information will probably be logged in the IIS logs, but a nice little program to parse the information would be good. Cheers Andrew
markberry Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 You can enable auditing within Sharepoint. It's somewhere under site settings. You should then be able to report on the information. Keep an eye on performance once you enable them as some of the settings can impact on performance. 1
TheScarfedOne Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 Yep - you can enable site auditing in Central Admin. You then have the power to create usage logs on the fly from site settings on sites or subsites. From memory, this is called Enable Usage Log Processing, and is on the Operations tab. I will double check on Mon, and update this post ef needed. 1
