[OT]Esky Honey Bee Helicopter Simulator

Just in case some other luck edugeeks get an RC helicopter for their 50th and want to practice on the simulator before wrecking their new toy ...

 

Install the FMS software - plug cable into controller and then computer - wait for Windows to find new device.

 

Run FMS and select Controls - Analogue controls.

Select Joystick interface - Mapping/Calibration and set the channels 4-2-1-3-4-2-1-3 top to bottom.

 

Do the calibration but DON'T LEAVE THROTTLE IN MIDDLE POSITION as suggested - leave in at minimum before pressing Finish (unless planning on doing acrobatics on 1st attempt )

PS I'm doing this post as a bit of an experiment as its taken me ages to google this info (and I had to modify the info when I found it) - so I'm seeing if this post will turn in future searches (in order to help others) as I've found out in the past that edugeek is looked upon very favourably by mr google

Any photos of the copter Si ? would love to see them as was into it abit when a few years ago:cool:

I'd better do that before the maiden flight and it gets broken as even on the simulator (with many hours of MS FS logged as a youth) I can't seem to do anything more than take of vertically and come back down again

 

Any x-y movement and I'm doomed!

 

I'm determined to get it right though!

mrWItch has been trying to fly one for several years and still can't get it right. Mind you, he spends most of his time taking it, and others, to bits and building new motors and the like.
