I have noticed that in SIMS if you load up any member of staff, where the 'title' field is, instead of saying title it says 'Whole Staff Training'. The drop down box next to it still has all the correct info (Mr, Mrs etc etc) but the field is named wrong.

 

Has anyone else noticed this?

 

The only reason it was flagged was because we had a problem creating new users on our RM LP.

You search for a member of staff (doesn't matter who)

Double click them to open up their details

All the iniformation should show up like so:

 

Title -Drop down box with Mr, Miss, Mrs etc-

Surname -box for typing-

Forename -box for typing-

etc

etc

etc

 

But ours shows like this:

 

Whole school training -Drop down box with Mr, Miss, Mrs etc-

Surname -box for typing-

Forename -box for typing-

etc

etc

etc

 

 

I hope that makes more sense. I would include a screenshot but I am at home Its not something we can change its hard coded into the page!

Nope, but I have noticed that if you right click the labels in SIMS it has an option to customize text - may depend on your role in SIMS. I haven't tried it but I assume that someone changed your label for "Title".

It could well be that the text has been editted but that seems unlikely. You could raise a case with us and we can help more.

I never use SIMS so I didn't know it was as simple as right clicking and customising text.

 

I have mentioned it to our Office Manager and she is going to change it. God knows how it happened.

One of our users managed to rename the Basic Details tab under the students and staff window, so instead of it saying BASIC DETAILS it said TEST, luckily they remembered how they had changed it.

Not everyone has the right to change the label!

Another place to look is the following menu route:

 

Tools | Setups | User Options

 

The bottom panel (#4) is for screen labels.

We once had a user change every label in the staff panel to an actual staff members details. It happens. This was back when the staff details where read only but that wasn’t going to stop our user.
