I can't see why USB or PS2 should make any difference. I genuinely do not believe this is real. It's also unclear whether they mean 15 metres or 15 miles. I presume 15 metres which is quite useless really in a real life attempt at an attack.

It's 15 metres, and I can quite believe it's real. However what they don't take into account is when there's more than 1 machine on a circuit, as then the information gets all muddled up surely, which as you said makes it useless in the real world!

It is real, its fifteen metres, and it fails the moment you have more than one variable input on a circuit.

 

It wasn't meant to be some amazing hacking tool as they appear to be trying to present it, just a demonstration of what could be done.
