sparkeh Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 So, the gfx card on my home pc just died. The MB has onboard graphics so I can go back to that but unfortunately it is VGA whereas my Apple Display is HDMI. So I have dug out my old VGA monitor but the resolution was cranked up high for the Apple Display and when you get to the login screen I get the 'signal out of range' message as the little monitor can't handle it. Even booting into safe mode produces the same error. I can't work out how to get round this. Any ideas?
Michael Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 If you have an LCD TV lying around (as you do) most of them have VGA ports. You could run it through this and tweak the resolution accordingly.
