ITWombat Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 Yes it's time for another link to YouTube. Before we get to the main event here's another Star Wars light sabre duel parody. Even though it's made by teenagers it's got a little more invetion in it than most. Check out the bit when Dart Maul tries to escape from the tennis court. They missed a trick by not using speeder bike sound effects for the scooter sequence. Jedi Wannabees And now something that mixes the twin extra curricular passions of geeks: Monty Pyhton and Star Wars. Someone somewhere was wondering, "Hey, what would happen if I put the Star Wars soundtrack on top of Monty Python's Holy Grail". Cue maniacal laugher and much dastardly wickedness with Final Cut Pro: Monty Python meets Star Wars
john Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 I like Lightsaber Duels, that ones ok, but I prefer this one:
ITWombat Posted July 16, 2006 Author Posted July 16, 2006 Does health and safety mean nothing to these Jedi. Why can't they find a conveniently empty Death Star concourse to have their duel. Using a crowded factory is just asking for trouble.
GrumbleDook Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 I like Lightsaber Duels, that ones ok, but I prefer this one: Perhaps I am just a sad geek who has seen to many of thses now ... but instead of looking at how good the effects are I tend to look to see if I can recognise what styles that have used when choreographing the fight. Who else recognised that the above one used quite a number of nice sabre techniques (the giveaway was one guy holding his hand behind is back ... the lazy person's way not to lose a point on a wayward hand) I spotted about 6 other styles ... anyone want to say what they spotted?
