farquea Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 I've just installed specops remote admin and had a quick play and all the command such as restart, shutdown etc work fine apart from the one function which was the reason for installing it, WOL. The packet gets sent but nothing! Has anyone experienced issues like this? We are using Dell in the school so i wont be surprised if its a Dell specific problem and if that is the case does anyone know of any other software which will work with Dell hardware because i also tried wol.exe (a simple dos app) which wouldnt work also.
TronXP Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Is WOL enabled on the network cards??? This is normally done in the bios if the network card is built onto the motherboard.
