Headphones for Reception Class

Just got 6 new computers in the reception class, been there for about a week now and teachers are complaining that sound isnt loud enough on the monitors.

 

so they have asked if i could order some headphones which are pretty much CHILDPROOF.

as all the old ones snapped and got broke. (Cheap Plastic Things)

 

so does anyone know of any GOOD qaulity headphones that are ideal for small children

and are at a resonable price?

Ah, the childproof headphone. A mythical object, similar to the Holy Grail or Philosopher's Stone... I did see the somewhat randomly named My First Headphone at BETT this year:

...which seem to be your basic headphone with added superglue to stop prying little fingers pulling stuff apart. There was one company selling snazzy headsets that were a flexible strip of plastic that you could twist and bend, but annoyingly these were sold in packs of 6 as MP3 players, not as stand-alone headphones.

Sounds about right!

 

Best ones I've found so far are the Computergear ones that RM supply. Work out around 10 quid each. Got around 50 of them, pretty robust, not had any destroyed yet.

 

Avoid the Cornbow ones, the kids keep ripping the earpads off!

Try these RM.com Shop: Computergear 1507 Headphones + inline microphone

 

They can still get damaged but what won't!! Just use some superglue to stop the headphone pads swiveling and fix the wires to the headphones and inline mic and they seem to have lasted well so far. (the supergle trick was learnt after our first batch were given out!)
