firefox_2006 Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Hi I have a problem with IE7 not displaying the contents of any webpage (including Google) on random machines. Basically what happens is you double click on the IE icon on the desktop and the window opens but nothing displays, just an empty white space where the webpage content should be (no address in the address bar either). The only way I can fix it is by un-installing IE and re-installing it again via control panel > add remove programs > add/remove windows components. Is anyone experiencing this particular problem, if so what is causing it? Thanks firefox_2006
Michael Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 If you refresh pages, does it display correctly second time?
denon101 Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 I have had a similar problem to this. Try start run regsvr32 urlmon.dll. You should get a message saying that the dll has been reregistered in the registry. Try running IE7 again. I found this fixed the machine. I now have set a sheduled task to run when the machine starts to reregister it. Hope that helps
firefox_2006 Posted June 23, 2009 Author Posted June 23, 2009 If you refresh pages, does it display correctly second time? No it does not, just still gives you a blank IE window, bit frustrating this one, wish I could roll out Firefox or Google Chrome as they are better browsers.
