Ive installed moodle with xampp (!) installed, and published the moodle via ISA Server 2006, I can access the site via *SCHOOLWEBSITE.co.uk/moodle*...which presents me with the installation page!..i get to the stage of setting up the database and that completes everything..A OK! ...When i get to the admin user setup page it says "403: Forbidden"..and the web address has changed *SCHOOLWEBSITE.co.uk/user/editadvanced.php... Which naturally is forbidden because its gone out of the /moodle directory!...WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!! ARGGGGH! :censored: lol Cheers Everyone!! Mart

Ive not made any changes via config.php...i wouldnt even know how to get into config.php at the min! lol Ta!
reggiep Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 (edited) config.php should be in the moodle folder so something like xampp/htdocs/moodle/config.php Then look for the line $CFG->wwwroot = 'http://ip.address.of.server'; It should either be just the IP address of your server or ip/moodle Edited June 15, 2009 by reggiep
apeo Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 This doesnt really help your current situation but as you just setting it up, you may want to consider using a LAMP server instead. I only say this because we use a WAMP server like you and whenever we have a problem its so annoying looking for a solution because most of the time theres a solution on nix but hard work for one in windows. Thats my experience anyway.

Sorted...its taken ALL day but sorted, The problem i was having was...the moodle files were put into the htdocs ROOT directory, that didnt seem to work so i made a folder in htdocs called "moodle" and it now seemsto be working fine! such a small error and a big problem! lol Cheers guys for all your help!
