Changing MSI localtion

I have a large number of packages with are installed via Active Director, but I may have to move them to another location.

 

Does anyone know a way of changing the UNC path to the MSI listed in AD that doesnt force a reinstall of the packages?

I've done this before with ADSIEdit from the Windows Support Tools, but it's not officially supported or recommended (worked for me though )
