Our chef has just ordered a new Macbook pro to use in his office. He only uses the network for internet access. A few questions he's asked me that I didn't know the answer to so though i'd ask on here:

1 - Is there a diary like Outlook for Mac?

2 - Is there a product like Microsoft Money for Mac?

3- Does the Mac need antivirus/firewall and if so which ones are the best or free?

Thanks

1 - You can get Microsoft Office for Mac, I think it uses Entourage rather than Outlook though

2 - GNUcash is the one I tend to use, and it is available for the Mac, not quite as good though

3 - Preferably, though you might hear otherwise. The product range is fairly small though.

Not sure but there is open office ( OpenOffice.org - The Free and Open Productivity Suite )

Obviously thats not like ms money but there are a few free money organising type apps

Open Source Mac - Free, Open-Source software for OS X

Personal finance section

There is ClamXav

which is free and I think sophos and a few other companies do anti virus for mac so in a network enviroment would be a good idea to install AV on them.
