Anyone got one of these yet? Seem to be quite decently priced on amazon:

[ame=http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-Walkman-NWZX1060B-X-32GB/dp/B001RTS5UK/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top]Sony Walkman NWZX1060B X Series with 32GB: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo[/ame]

Really tempted to get one, but interested to know if they play .avi or .mkv video files? Cant find any info anywhere.

Cheers!

bit the bullet and ordered one of these. The sony shop in town didnt have any in stock, and although could order in for me the RRP over here is $800, which is twice the price of the UK one! So ordered it from amazon. They wouldnt ship it here, I guess as my card is still registered in the UK, so cant wait for it to get sent on. Hopefully itll be decent. Just need to see if I can get slingplayer working on it.

OK, well it finally arrived today - I had to get it shipped via the UK, and it was hijacked en-route by a family member who took a fancy to it and took it on holiday with them :D

Shall post up some photos any my findings after Ive had a play...

Yikes, that much sony gear in one place, I feel a homicidal rage comming on even from this distance :D It does look good though and with OLED too.

Just as well I didnt have my Sony branded USB memory stick plugged in, or my Sony Bravia TV In view with my Sony Playstation hooked up ;p

Hmm... Im sounding like a bit of a Sony fan now...

Wrote out a massive review and stuff about this thing in notepad while I was offline.. Forgot about it for a couple of hours and was closing windows with a few too many clicks and closed it without saving.

Will maybe get round to writing another one...

:boom:I have had way too many issues with my Sony TV, and a long line of other peoples overpriced, underspeced Vaio laptops to cope with that much Sony gear in one place. I have to hum loudly to myself and close my eyes every time I drive past the Sony Style store :). My Sony home theater and DVR are fine though - we have an understanding. My view of their TVs is that the most valuable part of them is the warrenty as it is the bit that you will use the most. The PS3s seem alright though.

I actually have to reinstall a Vaio today :eek: I do hope it behaves otherwise the resulting explosion of rage will probably be visible from Australia. As such if you see a brilliant flash of light in the southern sky you will know that things have not gone well :D

I do agree that the middle of the range Vaios seem to be overpriced for the spec - can get a similar HP for example for less money but this TZ is awesome. for its size its not much bigger than an asus EEE, but a full spec laptop. (expensive yeh, but less than my previous Alienware 17" briefcase sized beast that I had no end of problems with, and died on me in under 18 months.

Touch wood Ive not had to make a warranty claim on this yet. I picked it up in Tokyo, but when I bought an extended warranty in the UK, they wouldnt apply it to the laptop, said I had to go back to Australasia to get the extended warranty.

Bravia TV I got was a 46". and although could have picked up a cheaper one, I do feel the sonys looked better...

Just grab the drivers off the sony page, Ive found them really simple to reinstall/upgrade/downgrade etc :D

PS. Sony, if you're reading, Im open to endorsement offers :)
