transfer music??

on a vista laptop transfered music to a memory stick and then copied it to a XP laptop, but when play the music media player does not play it and cannot understand why??

If the music is DRM protected, the license won't have been transferred. This is fairly common with WMA files.

 

I also discovered a weird issue with MP11 fairly recently and it only happens on an RM network. Within MP11, navigate to Tools > Options > Devices. Highlight 'Speakers', then click 'Properties'. Change the drop down menu from "Default DirectSound Device" to your actual sound card (which should be in the list). Close and re-open MP11.

 

Does this make any difference?
