Increasing the virtual disk size on an AX 150i

Does anyone out there know if there is a way of increasing the virtual disk size on an Dell (EMC) AX 150i so that the disk expands without me having to create a new partition. Otherwise I'm going to have to backup a few hundred GB of data, wipe the virtual disk and then create a larger one and put everything back.

It is the drive with our user areas on you see, and shuttign down the server, increasing the size of the virtual disk and rebooting into a larger disk (with info intact) would be preferable to the faffing around I'd have to do otherwise.

* Use the Navisphere interface on the SAN to expand the disk to the desired size

* At a command prompt, type DISKPART, and then press ENTER to start Diskpart.exe.

* Type LIST VOLUME, and then press ENTER to display the existing volumes on the computer.

* Type SELECT VOLUME volume number, and then press ENTER, where volume number is the number of the volume that you want to extend.

* Type EXTEND, and then press ENTER to extend the partition into all of the available disk space to the end of the drive.

For redundancy and resiliency purposes we cannot all stay in the hotel... imagine life without the 'geek!

Don't forget that one should be at one end of the hotel and the other at the other end for redundancy purposes as a fire / disaster is likely to not be at both extremes at once
