Trying to setup LimitLogin on a test 2k3 Domain

The IIS portion installs fine

but the AD setup fails after entering the share & IIS info

The Remote server returned an error: (401)Unauthorized

Any thoughts?

does your iis server have ssl turned on at the root of the share? I'm trying to remember what I did to mine to fix this error, took ages but it was a trivial fix in the end, just can't remember what it was :(

Try http://www.itnewsgroups.net/group/microsoft.public.windows.server.general/topic8395.aspx

Also "I had the same problem. The fix for me was to set a method for authenticated access. Open IIS Manager, go to the website item (mine was just Default Web Site), right-click on it and select Properties. On the Directory Security tab, click on the Edit button in the "Authentication & access control" section. Select your method(s) for authenticated access."

Just installing limitlogin and stuck just after this error.

(The solution was to set authentication method in the IIS Manager from the website - none are selected by default - I selected "Integrated Windows Authentication")
