Anybody ever used one of these? if so what are they like running cost wise, print quality etc...

 

Not used one but have checked over the specification and read a few reviews to date.

 

Consumable costs are just a shade under older models of Epson printer and there's nobody putting together any compatibles that I know of so you'd be tied in to Epson. It does come with its waste tank as a consumable too so that at least removes the modification issue there and presumably any need to reset waste counters.

 

Oh, and a tad obvious but definitely get the biggest capacity cartridges as the smaller ones are just not economical in comparison.

 

From what little I could gather the speed quoted need to be divided by three as you should with all printer marketing blurb but otherwise it's essentially an HP Officejet competitor.

 

All of this is of course useless compared to real world experience but unfortunately at the cost they are it's unlikely I'll bother getting one myself... I'd try asking one of the hardware suppliers for a demo unit and give it a pasting...
