VLC Shortcut

I would like to make a shortcut that will open VLC and auto connect to a stream from a webcam on the network

 

http://cam.era.ip.address/img/video.asf

 

Im sure this can be done but I cant find the info or make this work or stream to wmp

Take a normal VLC shortcut and edit the target to add "http://cam.era.ip.address/img/video.asf" after "C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe"

 

So you'd get

 

"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" "http://x.x.x.x/feeds/awesome.asf"

You can do that by configuring the default hotkeys . Go to Tools > Preferences > Hotkeys to assign an assign to a new hotkey. However , make sure you don't insert a keyboard shorcut already supported by VLC Player. You can find the default keyboard shortcut supported here :
