The "Deep Field" has been amazing me for some time. It bends my mind to think that the light from those galaxies has been travelling for 13 BILLION years. I think I need to lie down in a dark room...

The power of science is that you look at what you can see and measure etc and come up with theories. You keep these theories until something else comes along which doesn't fit and at that point you try to work out how to revise those theories.

 

Newton's laws looked good when he proposed them; we now know that they don't work for really small, really big and really fast objects so we have new theories to explain motion.
