Jaz drive

Hi All

 

Does anybody here have a Jaz drive still?

 

I have been asked to try and transfer some data (not valuable stuff) from a 1Gb Jaz disk onto a memory stick.

 

I don't really want to buy a drive just for this so I was wondering if anyone had a drive I could borrow?

I thought I did have, but it is a ZIP. Anyone need a SCSI Zip drive?

TBH i'd be willing to wager the data isn't readable anyway even if you do get your hands on a Jaz drive.

 

They barely lasted 10 minutes let alone 10 years

charge it to the guy who wants the data, Iwould add another £25 to see if he really wants the data, my guess is they do not.

I *think* I've got one at home in an old machine (stocked it out with DDS2, Jazz, Zip, HP Tapestore piece of junk) ... I'd have to check if it still works though, it's been sitting under a pile of computer bits for quite some time...

I know where I can possibly get a 2gb scsi Jazz drive from although the machines may have been thrown out(p2 350's) by now. Will check this weekend.

I have an external 2gb jaz drive, with psu and original cd.

 

Yours for the cost of the postage.

 

Probably be about a £5?
