chrbb Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Just bought 2 of these from misco on special offer, nice solid computers, but when the computer is switched on initially at the mains, the psu powers up doesn't boot but then stops. You then need to press the power button to turn it on. This happens every time to both computers, is this a sign of faulty psu?
bertster Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 I've installed two of the fujitsu siemens esprimo P2530 and both of them do the same psu power cycle as you described when switch on at the mains.
speckytecky Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 we have some as well and yes they do the same thing. I think it's to blow the dust out ort something like that;) Nice quick machines to boot once they have got past that though.
chrbb Posted March 26, 2009 Author Posted March 26, 2009 Sorted it (I think!) there's a setting on bios under power that dictates what the computer does after a power cut (or in my case when the caretaker switched off at the mains each evening) Set it to disabled and it's stopped doing it.
