Has anyone used ophcrack on a server?

Hi has anyone used ophcrack on a windows server 2003 system to find the password for the adminstrator.

 

I have taken over a school and the previous company who was there did not give me the password and i need it asap

I used to use it for auditing purposes (before you shout: yes, with the appropriate safeguards and clearance).

Either that or if you can afford downtime, boot into a Bart PE to change the admin password to what you want.

If i change the password it may stop some of the services on the server and i dont want to go into all the problems which could arise

In which case I suggest Cain, it recover MS passwords as well as a number of other things. Have used it many times on XP, apparantly works well on 2003 as well.
