laserblazer Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 I'm looking at one for home but don't want to spend more than £150. It's for land based training for my swimming, so it doesn't need fancy programs just set and go.
a_monkey_hint Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 You should be able to get a relatively decent one for £150. Check out argos for a start, they have a few on their website. 1
laserblazer Posted March 21, 2009 Author Posted March 21, 2009 I've just been into Argos and they have one reduced from £299 to £129 so I might go for that. I just thought that, seeing how ICT Technicians are so fanatical about keeping fit, we might have some experts

It's for land based training for my swimming, so it doesn't need fancy programs just set and go. It's the kind of thing that people buy, use a few times, then have sit around in the garage for ages until they decide to get rid of it. As such, there's always a good supply floating around at car boot sales and your local second-hand emporium. laserblazer Posted March 21, 2009 Author Posted March 21, 2009 I need the C/T, it will help me pick up my stroke rate and stamina. Just going to take a look on ebay.

I can't get the motivation to use gym equipment at home, I need a routine such as going to the gym from work.
laserblazer Posted March 22, 2009 Author Posted March 22, 2009 I bid £60 on one with a Buy It Now price of £80. It went for £94! Where's the logic in that?
TwoZeroAlpha Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Why not go for a run, its free! Cross trainer tends to have low/zero impact on your joints, so if you're recovering from an injury or have known problems with ankles, knees, hips etc they're the recommended option. That's why swimming is a good idea to build muscle strength without impact on joints.
