[ms office - 2007] Excel 2007 problem

Hi,

 

I have a problem with excel 2007 on a couple of laptops. When you click the file to open it, it won't open. But if i open excel and open the file from within excel it opens.

 

 

Any ideas? i have tried repair and also reinstalled.

So when you say it won't open, what does it do?

Litterally nothing (no hour glass, no error message etc) or is there a message displayed?

Excel opened, but it displays an error saying can't find file make sure the name is typed correctly.
