Tape drive question

Hi

 

We are going to purchase an Ultrium tape drive from an auction site. We are looking at either an LT0-2 or LT0-3 drive depending on what kind of price we can get.

 

It comes as a bare internal drive so my questions is what cables will we need and what type of scsi card will we need to install it in our Dell Poweredge SC server?

 

Which backup software would you suggest we use with it?

 

We are running SBS Premium 2003.

This should help as there are various Ultrium drives.

 

Most likely it will use a Ultra 160 or Ultra 320 SCSI or Ultra Wide 3 interface. It comes under various names.
