SimpleSi Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Thought I'd start with the bad news! Its got about 15 odd dark pixels in 3 groups of 5 about 3rd way down the screen in a line. (It used to be a lot a worse - I reckon she took it into the shower room once and water vapour got in - but it gets better and better with each passing week ) Anyway, its an unlocked original 2G IPhone bought brand new off ebay last May. She can get £60 for it as a non-working item on Mazuma but its actually 99.5% fully working (Other daughter bought an Ipod touch with the money she got for her N96 and youngest can't be seen now woth last year's model ) So if anyone's interested - let me know (she needs £99 to pay for upfront payment on a 3G model) regards Simon
danIT Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Ill swap you for an EeePC lol Have you tried: iPhone Dead Pixel Test Or This: Stuck Pixel Fix for iPhone Obviously vist on your iphone
SimpleSi Posted March 9, 2009 Author Posted March 9, 2009 They're not really stuck - there was a lot more of them on the left side - then they spread out and thinned - and not there's not many left- it'll be a shame to see them go Its a bit like watching a game of life in stop-go animation speed In about 2 months, we'll be able to sell it to Mazuma as fully working regards Simon
danIT Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Can you get any pics of it? Im interested in it...£99 might be a bit high?
tech_guy Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 I'll give you a penny for it. Whoa, that's way to much for an iphone
SimpleSi Posted March 9, 2009 Author Posted March 9, 2009 Pics attached The Note application shows them off the worst/best regards Simon
SimpleSi Posted March 9, 2009 Author Posted March 9, 2009 £99 might be a bit high? Or a bit low Remember - I'm not a scammer from ebay - you;d be getting a bargain - cost £300 last may! And I've told you the bad news - on ebay - you'd only find out after you'd parted with your money regards Simon PS I just want these daughters of mine off my back about their b&^^%y phones
Sirbendy Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 I've got one in the office with a smashed glass fascia and broken digitiser...if it was mine I'd cry, but I'll stick to my Ipaq 514.
plexer Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 The statement about ebay isn't quite true though is it. If you sold it on ebay as being perfect and the person who bought it received in that condition then you'd be in the wrong surely? I personally think somewhere between the £60 you can get for it and the £99 you have asked would be fair. I'll stick to my Nokia 5800 anyway, much better than the old iphone Ben
apoth0r Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 (edited) Must remember to read things properly..... I'll offer £69 for it as a starting bid Edited March 10, 2009 by apoth0r my bad.
SimpleSi Posted March 10, 2009 Author Posted March 10, 2009 Just an update - got two other members interested at £99 via PM JFI- Mazuma fully working is £120 - non-working is £60 - and since my daughter only needs £99 I think the price is right regards Simon
SimpleSi Posted March 10, 2009 Author Posted March 10, 2009 Phone sold now Thanks for the interest everyone regards Simon
