I still reckon you can do this with a Robin Reliant, some extra fibreglass, a few outriggers on extendable rams, a "foam sandwich" flotation aid floorpan, a landrover snorkel mated to the SU carb and a propeller driven by a shaft run through the diff and out the back under the tank.

 

Not that we ever put any thought into it when we worked on one, honest...
