Sharepoint Workflows

Hi people I need some help!

 

I have a workflow for our CPD application forms (InfoPath), now the problem I'm having is when I make a change within the workflow on the 'Collect data from a user' task. If you make any changes within the task and then save the workflow you get an error 'Sharepoint Designer encountered an error generating the task form'.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this error? I’ve tried deleting the step and recreating it, created a brand new step and still receive this error, I really don’t want to remake the workflow as its fairly complex but if I have to then so be it.

 

I'm using WSS 3 and Sharepoint Designer 2007 on a 2K3 box. Thanks for any help!!

Ok just tried creating a brand new workflow and exactly the same error when collecting data from a user, any other tasks work fine! What’s going on?

Excellent, I've solved it.

 

Somehow my Sharepoint Designer connected to the site using FQDN, now the site is only setup using server name as the collection so when I reconnected SPD as server name boom I could save the workflow! Now all I’ve got to do is work out why emails won’t sent from workflow but will from notifications and I'm a happy man.
