deploy Adobe Production Premium CS4

Hi Guys,

 

We got Adobe Production Premium CS4 4 DVD's the other day, I gave the task to one of my technicians to sort and install.

 

What is the easiest way in deploying this, we need to install in 3 ICT Rooms.

Creative Suite 4 Deployment Toolkit

 

If you have SMS/SCCM or another .exe deployment system then you are good. Otherwise you are down to manually running the installer or scripting it. Personally, I get all the machines turned on then call the installer remotely on each machine using psexec.

 

Installing via GPO deployment is practically impossible, because Adobe hate us. Have a search, there have been a few discussions on it in the past (the difficulty, not the hating).

Now that I look at the details, you may be right. We have a CLP site licence for Creative Suite so it was thrown in.

 

The manual deployment guide that EduTech attached should do the trick instead.

I've managed to get it installed fine, one question.......When ever a new user logs on it asks for the key, im sure I've read you have to make a registry change?

If you activate the licence at administrator level, does this still happen?

 

There is a reg change, but if you have deployed it using the deployment toolkit then you shouldn't be getting that problem.

 

If you have activated it at admin level and it still happens, i can find out the reg fix which i have somewhere.

I'm still having issue and have tried a bunch of things. I'd appreciate any insights.

I have managed to create the silent installer, using the manualenterprisedeployment_cs4_help.pdf and creating the application.xml.override, install.xml and remove.xml.

Everything works fine except that the cd also comes with Adobe After Effects which has its own serial. But i cant figure out how i go about deploying it with the serial.
