Gatt Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 I'll be wearing this --> http://www.cashncarrion.co.uk/products/15868/675//8727b944d059000b66c356e075b3d5ec
Norphy Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 I neither like nor dislike Dr Who. I'll watch if I'm bored enough but I won't go out of my way to do so. BSG and the various Stargates, now thats a different matter. Although when Sky were showing both BSG and SG1 at the same time, BSG made SG1 look a little poor. I also think Nirvana are massively over-rated. Queen are my favourite band

webman Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 A simple "No I will not fix your computer" would do nicely
witch Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Queen??? QUEEN??? Oh my god what is happening to the techs? As for me I just wear my Reading Festival 1979 T shirts (yes, I am very very old) and play Sabbath, Purple, Zeppelin, etc As well as System of a Down, Korn, Red Hot Chilis, etc etc Oh yes, then there are the rainbow shirts and smilie badges No beard as yet

ajbritton Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Ahhh... the sisters... If there is a better song to jump around to whilst p**ed out of your head than Temple of Love, I have yet to hear it!
Guest richard Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Ahhh... the sisters... If there is a better song to jump around to whilst p**ed out of your head than Temple of Love, I have yet to hear it! Try Dominion / Mother Russia
Norphy Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Queen??? QUEEN??? Oh my god what is happening to the techs? If you can find a better album for techs than Queen Greatest Hits II (which I know strictly speaking isn't an album, more of a compliation) then I wanna see it. Example tracks: A kind of magic Under Pressure Headlong I'm going slightly mad Radio Ga Ga I want it all The Miracle The Invisible Man Its a Hard Life
GrumbleDook Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 yes i was Sophie Aldred who played ace http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/classic/gallery/aldred/index.shtml russ "i was Sophie Aldred"????? Erm ... thank you for sharing that with us Russ.
GrumbleDook Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Queen??? QUEEN??? Oh my god what is happening to the techs? Next you will be saying that going to the musical is sad ... well ... going about 13 times in 3 years ... Ok ... we have done t-shirts ... what about trousers ... Since I am a shirt & tie or sharp suit during term time, I tend to really chill out during the hols. I go for cut off tracksuit bottoms, bermudas or cargo pants (cut down to just below the knee) .... And if it ain't raining the flip flops or sandals. oh ... and for the record ... I was bored last weekend and shaved the goatee off ...not too sure about it so I think no shaving is the order of the day for the half-term.
witch Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Yes, I like Floyd (OF COURSE) but then you probably guessed that as I am obviously an old rocker And as for you, Norphy - I'm sure that the songs would be OK if they werent sung by Queen And, Grumbly my friend, I love musicals, but that would be because I am...musical (perfect pitch) and would explain my feelings about Queen! However, just in case Norphy is feeling got at, I will deflect the insults by offering up that I like....... Genesis (and Yes!) And classical music can be great for venting one's feelings about stuff - and the powers that be are less likely to complain as it is 'educational' As for trousers - jeans all the way
Joedetic Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Gilmour is on Jools Holland's thingy tonight. I missed the first slot because i was late getting back with the dogs (why do the damn things absorb water so much ) Jeans also, unless it's shorts weather. The thing that most people note about me is that i wear a leatherman with everything! Shorts, jeans, suit....there's the leatherman!
ajbritton Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Ahhh... the sisters... If there is a better song to jump around to whilst p**ed out of your head than Temple of Love, I have yet to hear it! Try Dominion / Mother Russia I know them well. I think the stuff on the earlier EPs was my favourite though. Reptile House and so on. For me it all went a bit downhill after the first album. Quite enjoyed The Mission though. Saw them at Sheffield Uni on what must have been one of their first tours and then again at Wembley a couple of years later. Crazy days.
ajbritton Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 This is a great thread, but I hope nobody is going to start talking about going commando or anything!
Guest richard Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 OMG No Pink Floyd fans???? I just hadn't got round to addling any Pink Floyd to my list at the time. As for trousers black combats, black jeans will be the order of the day.
Andrew_C Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, John Martyn, and a hundred & one others... Until the weather brightens a bit, I'm still in jeans (and tidy black ones at work) And then one day you find ten years have got behind you No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
russdev Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 yes i was Sophie Aldred who played ace http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/classic/gallery/aldred/index.shtml russ "i was Sophie Aldred"????? Erm ... thank you for sharing that with us Russ. oh dear sorry big type there was meant to be IT was woops Russ
russdev Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Right as for music nothing wrong with Queen but then I am person will listen to anything but nothing better than good blues track. Also got to admit got quite few Jools Holland CD’s as well and also Norah Jones/Katie Melua also good. For a good unrated American band Blues Traveller and for different slant actor who should of become a singer John Goodman if you hear him in things like Blues Brother 2000 film and Farther of the Pride. As for clothes while in work shirt and trousers out of week jeans and t-shirt Russ
JustinClift Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 ... do like Dr Who Hello Billie Piper... 8) Yep, Billy Piper is definitely cute. Though, Freema Agyeman isn't bad either. Wish they'd cut down the romance/soap-opera aspect and increase the Sci-Fi aspect though.
JustinClift Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Also got to admit got quite few Jools Holland CD's as well Heh, was introduced to Jools Holland recently by a friend, who had a spare ticket to a concert of his here in Australia. Short concert, but brilliant, and really amazing atmosphere! :-) Would definitely go and see him live in concert again.
