Merge PDF

I have been asked in the past could I merge one PDF with another. Without Distiller [or whatever it is called now] I did not find an easy way to do it. Although I have not evaluated this site yet it seems like the answer. From the site:

We know that merge PDF is a software that really merge multiple PDF files.

What if in a specific PDF you will edit 3 lines of text.

I think you'll need to use Foxit or Adobe products. (they can also merge multiple PDF files)

Are there any data protection issues using 3rd part websites that may be hosted god knows where?

 

You can use the pdf creator printer driver to merge pdf's I think.

Ben's right. PDFCreator will merge any printable docs (MS Office, Open Office, PDF etc...) into one pdf.

I use the free PDF995 for pdf generation and merging.

 

Online, I use neevia which can convert documents into various formats including pdf and jpeg

I am using PDFSAM and it both splits and merges PDF pages very well. Go to PDF Split and Merge for download.

PDF Hammer: Online [no downloads] and free.

 

Upload PDFs. Move/Delete pages. Download finished document.

 

Does not address Plexer's data protection concerns [earlier in this thread] so I guess don't use it on PDFs which contain such data. Add this to those choices already available.

Not that it helps anyone ref windows but on leopard and snow leopard you can merge pdf's already

If you do this on a regular basis you might be interested in the Combine PDFs service. With this, you can merge PDFs via the Finder's context menu.

You can merge PDF's natively in macOS using preview, you don't need anything else....

Indeed you can, but my post above was over nine years ago. If you regularly needed to merge lots of PDFs back then, the Finder service was faster than using Preview.

 

In Mojave onwards you can simply right-click some PDFs and use Quick Actions > Create PDF to combine them.
