Avalon Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Suppose i should really have asked the question before i placed the order but hey! I have ordered HP iPAQ 914c's for our ICT Support team with the intention of exchange synchronisation, using wifi around school, possibly even skype to communicate. Does anyone use Hp iPAQ's for this purpose, and if so do you find it useful?
fafster Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Not an ipaq, but we're considering the T-Mobile G1 for a similar purpose.
User3204 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I had a fiddle with an older version of the iPaq (I think they were rz1710s), but we found that in order for them to talk to the mailserver directly we needed to purchase a licence and software to do this, and in the end we didn't think it was worth it. Otherwise it could only sync via a specific machine running outlook. It may have changed now, though. And I can't remember what the software was called.
