Has anyone got this working? I have once before but setting up my new WDS server today, I seem to be having a spot of bother!

I've got WDS set up in mixed mode. A working BartPE disk copied into /Setup/English/Images/BartPE/I386

The image boots, you get the XP load bar at the bottom of the screen. When it gets to 100% the PC reboots!

Does anyone have any ideas what I've forgotten to do to get this working?

You can boot PE ISOs over RIS but it requires the Server 2003 kernel \ source files rather than XP ones that I think BartPE uses.

Had to buy WinPE 2005 in order to boot my ISO images into RAM for SMS

Yes, working in 5 of my primary schools. Cant remember exactly how to do it as i set it up ages ago. When i'm next in, i'll try post how to do it. You have to extract some files out of the Windows Server 2003 setup disk, and make sure they're in the right place.

How much RAM have you got in your clients and how big is your BartPE image. BartPE over RIS copies the image into RAM and executes from there, so you'll need to fit the image in RAM plus about 100MB free to run BartPE.

256MB is shady on a rather cut down image, often running out of RAM, 192MB reboots everytime

The test machine has around 4Gb Ram, not sure of the size of the image.
