Have problem with iMovie08 project file location, when student create project file and whon’t to save to different location they cannot save (save to Mac shared drive on Mac server). I have copied project file from /user/Username/Movies/iMovies Projects.localized/ to say USB drive and when I go to different Mac and open that project it open but there nothing on it, it has lost all the photo and video. Dose any one know where it store those file??? Student has to use same Mac as it store it on local HDD, is their any way I can save new project to network and access from any mac??? Yes I have goggled it without any joy. Thank you in advance for help. GAS
HodgeHi Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 I've had problems trying to save iMovie 08 files on network home dirs in the past what i tended to do was to use iMovie 06 instead as i found it is easier to use anyhow. It is a free download for those who have iMovie 08 installed.
iSteve Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Are you doing this over a network, or working locally on the files on the local hard disk and exporting the result?
rolfea Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 We have a iMovie drop box on the local hardrive. Students have read write permissions but nothing else on the hard drive.. they are warned that these drop boxes are whipped monthly so all work should be removed as soon as they can
