Meet Up / Conference Latest

Ok been speaking to people and here is details (all subject to change)..

 

It will be the sometime in the week of Monday 24th October. That is when grumble_box who has offered his college for day is on half term and so will have run of place just about pick of rooms etc use of hall if we have large number interested etc.

 

Second we are applying to Specialist Schools Trust this is because then we make an offcial conference and you lot can claim money back of school for travel etc and we can apply for money to fund it all and so hopfuly it will not cost to attend..

 

We are also looking for firm to sponsor it mainly again so that we do not have to charge for it this is mainly to cover the cost of lunch etc..

 

Also we maybe able offer a free pickup and drop off in mini bus from kettering train station for people who do not drive?

 

At moment the format is as follows (this is not set in stone).

 

9:00 - 9:15 Intro etc

 

9:15 - 10:30 - Session 1

 

10:30 - 11:30 - Session 2

 

11:30 - 1:00 - Session 3

 

1 - 2:00 - Lunch

 

2-3:30 - Session 4

 

3:30 - 4:00 -'Chat' basicly time so that eeveryone talk to each other..

 

Then if anyone wants to carry it drink and meal at local watering hole...

 

As said not set in stone so if you want break in morning etc so please feel free to suggest alnternative format..

 

If people want a lan party then maybe we can extend last half hour so people can do it then..

 

Remember this is all subject to change at moment..

Sounds good to me. I think I'd be able to attend only if it became an official conference (mainly because of travelling time! :? ), but I'm definately keen to go!

Also when thing where thinking about was getting someone in from apple to do a talk on apple convert all the windows users (i have deicded that is what my christmas present is going to be get people i know to donate money into a fund instead of buying me a present)

 

Anyway back on topic is an apple talk something you lot would be interest in..
