RabbieBurns Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Is this even possible? I dont think it is but Ill ask anyway. Been asked to put a link on a page of our webserver, which will open up a windows explorer window to a particular mapped drive. eg, they click on it and drive X: appears from My Computer
tmcd35 Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 IIRC, set up a windows share on the drive you want to open (X:) and then use a link, thus: http://///

powdarrmonkey Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 interesting.. putting a link just Test Drive Seems to work in IE.. Yes, it will. @tmcd: I think you mean file:///.../...
FN-GM Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Another option could be to link it to a batch file and have your net use command in there.

RabbieBurns Posted January 19, 2009 Author Posted January 19, 2009 The drive gets mapped at logon. There is a shortcut to the drive on their desktop. But now Ive been told there should be a link to the drive on the homepage now too. Ah well. Sorted now. Thanks
