Reinstalling the original OS - Windows ME - after she put a dodgy copy of Win XP on it and her Dad doesn't want to spend any money so hence ME going back on. Question is what AV? Has to be free but the latest and greatest version of AVG is for XP & Vista only. Same regarding Firewall. Any advice? This is like going back in time. I'd forgotten what a pile of poo ME was.

witch Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 (edited) A friends ME computer has something called Protect Plus or Protector Plus on it? - she hasn't had any problems that I know of (except of course for ME itself!). mattx Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 You could try Tiny Personal Firewall Download Tiny Personal Firewall, Tiny Personal Firewall 2.0.14 Download It says 98 / NT - if my memory was correct the kernal for ME was VERY similar to NT so it may work.... 1
