No, we've unblocked the manic-monkey web sites but still can't get it to activate after putting in the product key. Have you had any luck?

Hi ... nice to know I'm not the only one getting frustrated by this software ...

 

After a few fruitless calls to MM I decided to do local installs on each PC being careful to register at the same time ... They worked once and then got back into the "you must register loop" I havent done any work on this since but have purchased the 2simple french package which works a dream !!!

Our French teacher requested a refund from Manic Monkey and was ready to give 2Simple a go when MM called and said they had a fix. They emailed two patch files and the software now works right across the network, finally.

After some messing about its working for me. My first problem was with the registration, i put in the proxy and it registered but that had to be done on every PC. Fixed by copying a settings file from the application data to the network folder. My other problem when finally into the program was that at the menu it didnt do anything no matter what i clicked on. This was to do with the fact i was using UNC for the network location, mapping to a drive worked fine.

similar issues for me. the patched files were to sort an issue with the reponse packet for their server being too log and the data was being stripped by ISA.

 

we run ours from the server (mapped drive) and we also had the issue of the application data xml had wierd info for the proxy.

 

took a while to get it to work but the guy i spoke to stayed on the line for a couple of hours till it was working.

Hiyah ... The "new" tech guy at MM is quite good and has helped me to get the program working OK off of the server ...... its been a while now but I seem to remember its easy with the latest version ...
