I can't get my head round this!

What I want to do is recreate the news section that the old package had where on the left there was categories for the news items and then on the right the articles in that category are displayed.

Can somebody point me in the right direction?

What am I choosing for the menu item type?

Are you just creating articles to put onto different news pages. First in the news section create the categories that you want. Then create a article putting it into the right category.

Create the menu item as a category blog layout, and all the articles that you put in that category will appear on that page.

I hope that makes sense

I think I've done what you said but it's still not right.

When I click Sports News it's showing the article, and no menu on the left. Also how do I remove the orange title?

This is confusing! It wasn't working and now it is.

To make sure it isn't me I added a new article called Test1. I added a menu link on the About The School menu to link to this Test1 article and then in the module manager I set it so the Parents Menu is displayed on Test1. Did it work? No.

What am I doing wrong here? How do you go about adding new links to articles?
