Just wondering has anyone played around with the Forefront Threat Management Gateway beta yet?

I have just installed TMG on a spare 2008 box and I am toying with the idea of placing it on our external switch and making it a live server.

I was thinking of making it the web proxy for IT Support and a few other 'test' users for a couple of weeks. I was also thinking of maybe publishing a few of our HTTP services through it.

Does anyone see a problem with this?

I've already installed our Digital Certificates on it, if all goes well I might publish our Exchange OWA traffic through it next week.

Has anyone else done this in production yet?

We have used ISA from day 0 here so as you can imagine I'm itching to move to the newer version!

Yep - its running here and publishing Exchange 2007, MOSS 2007 and Remote Desktop. Works a dream - config wise, not much different to the previous one. Wish they would make it final though! Not using it for proxying yet - would do if had time to set it up...

How have you got your ISA box doing that?

Yep we have it as a proxy at the moment, and we have published a few webby's too.

All seems well at the moment apart from it suddenly stopped accepting all inbound requests this morning, a restart of the service fixed it but I haven't been able to figure out what caused it. I can only assume its a beta thing hmmm!
