Quackers Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Has anybody gone through the Job Evaluation process and had an outcome yet? If so did your pay go up, down or stay the same. It seems to be taking for ever in staffordshire.
pharoah Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 yep done it and complete in south tyneside...did the online version ....me personally did well out of it.....mind we do assist in classes and do extra duties outside of contract ...mixed reception around borough ... but general everyone happy with results
OverWorked Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 We did ours a while ago, but aren't due to get the results until late 2006, I think. Most people, except me, were very apprehensive about doing it. They're all convinced that it's a cost-cutting exercise. I don't see how my pay can get any lower, so I'm not worried.
russdev Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 also if pay is lowered then they should protect it for 3 years so gives 3 years to find new job russ
Vegas Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 We did it 3 years ago but in-house (Foundation School) rather than the County Council doing it and I did very well, most stayed the same with about 5 getting a decent rise. My wife works for the local council and they have just gone through it, she stayed the same but I did hear that one IT specialist lost 10k!!
