The dep head has given me a couple of weeks to get something together but I need to go live with it by then so maybe an Apha is not the way to go on the net. I do have a local test system though which I wouldn't mind trying it on. I'll skype. Bob

But your in Lancs CLEO hosting works - just get your SQL database created if you haven't done so (contact ICT Centre) and I can just simply give you a joomlapack packed copy of my test install and I can tell you exactly which values enter when it asks questions PM me here - I only skype at home not work regards Simon

The logo's folder is empty I've posted your PM here - I'm only using PM for posting the link Ta for info. It works locally for me as well I took my schools logos out but there is something residual in the artcile that I need to edit Glad it installs OK Anyone fancy the dridgery of uploading to an ISP and testing it out in the real world? regards Simon

If that seems to work OK then I think we are good to go I've uploaded it to one of those free upload places - please let me know if its OK to use. If not, I'll PM you a link and look for somewhere else to host the public distribution. regards Simon

It looks a mess. See attachement If you like to see what it could look like, have a look at St Leonards to see the site it will be based on. The package will in no way approach the excellent standards of Sysman and aloneBFG but I just want to help out others get started with Joomla as its a reasonable way to get a nice looking site without TOO much effort regards Simon

The design (under the bonnet) is actually quite sophisticated It just looks poor It it ever reaches the published stage, I'll explain its advantages (Basically its a very low maintenance version of the normal 1.5 Edugeek Joomla Package - modified for primary schools and needs very little effort to maintain on the part of webmasters (in this case me ) once its set up) If anyone fancies making a nicer looking 968x150 generic header image, I'll stick it in the final release regards Simon PS And look what stirring the pot has achieved - job well done I'd say
