ranj Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Whoops i have made a slight error on the school network. Over the weekend i was clearing some disk space on our network and accidently compressed the files on our file server, and was wondering if i can reverse this action. thanks
MrDylan Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Right Click the compressed Folder, Properties, Advanced Button, Uncheck 'Compress contents to save disk space'
ranj Posted May 9, 2006 Author Posted May 9, 2006 sorry i need to do it for the whole drive. I could do individual folders but would take longer.
MrDylan Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 All I can think of is if you Compress the folder that contains the compressed folder you want to uncompress, and apply it to all subfolders. Then when you uncompress that folder you can tell it to apply the uncompress to all subfolders and files. If you get what I mean?
alan-d Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Which files in particular - it may make no difference as to whether they are compressed or not.
