KVM style thingy for vga, sound and usb.

In some of our classrooms the breakout boxes for the IWB's are quite far from where a teacher may have rearranged their desk too.

I was wondering if their was anything ip based that could take the output from the laptop i.e vga, sound, and usb for the iwb and send that over the network or possibly just a piece of cat 5 which then makes it non ip so that it terminates closer to the board?

I don't know if that makes any sense at all.

I think you will find it hard to find a device that will do VGA+Audio+USB

From a cost point of view might be worth investing in long VGA + 3.5 audio cables and a CAT5 USB Extender.

Avocent do them. We've got one with dual DVI connectors and 4 USB ports + sound.

It did cost a packet but means we can control our 3d projection setup (hence the dual monitors) remotely.
