eddiek156 Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Hi there. I am trying to find a decent laptop trolley to hold at least 6 laptops. I have had laptop trolleys in the past. They were all really well thought out apart from the bit about what you do with the long cables and power supply whilst the laptops are in the trolley charging. What I want is something that will perhaps have a seperate space for the power brick and maybe a system that would allow me to do away with the kettle lead part of the power supply equipment. I would also like a trolley which allows me to easily remove the power supplies from the trolley when they are needed on the desk. Does such a trolley exist. What are your experiences and do you have any recommendations. Thanks in advance for any help. Ed

peterdoherty Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 go for the lapsafe produts. Mighe be a tad more espensive that waht you are use to but they are excelnt build quality and secure. been using them for about 4 years and now have about 14 of them in total in various sizes/configs
SimpleSi Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 I would also like a trolley which allows me to easily remove the power supplies from the trolley when they are needed on the desk. None of them do this regards Simon
Haptic Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Another vote here for Lapsafe kit. They are the best laptop trolleys I have used. If you went with one of the models that have pre fitted adapters you could just put the original chargers in a box for use with the laptops on desks. hmm where did you buy your lapsafe trolley from fella lol ????
SimpleSi Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Are u 2 going into Vauderville regards Simon

moggy Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 What about laptop trolley with wireless networking?
peterdoherty Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 What about laptop trolley with wireless networking? the lapsafe ones can have a WAP of your choice installed inside and all you simple do is patch the cabinet into a nearby network point 1
brooker101 Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Lapsafe are quality trolleys, but for a more economic trolley I think Bretford might do one and Monarch, but not sure if they do one for 6. Think the lowest sized one is 10.
Sirbendy Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 We've just got a Bretford 24 trolley...quite nice.
Oops_my_bad Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Why you of course Simon Oh please... I think I'm going to be sick If you are considering getting any lesser product than a lapsafe, have a look at this http://www.edugeek.net/forums/hardware/15170-buying-lapsafe-smartline-laptop-trolley.html#post152556 - NOT ONE LAPTOP WAS STOLEN!
