Don't know much about Macs - but aren't they just PS/2 connectors anyway? If so then don't see why not

Though this begs the question of - Why would you want to? :p

The reason why i need a 1 button mouse is that a pupil here has got poor Fine motor skills,has a tendency to click both buttons at the same time ..

@localzuk - ta for the clarification - as i said, my knowledge on Macs is very limited - so i stay out of our Creative & Media suite for that reason. :p

As a simpler/less hardware dependent solution, why not just run something on login for them that either disables the right mouse button, or maps the right mouse button back to the left button as well - this would mean not having to swap the mice around on every PC they use etc too...

http://lifehacker.com/assets/resources/2008/02/KillRightClick.exe will kill the right click (surprise!) but it would be easy to knock together a script in AutoHotKey that just makes the right button act as a left one too :) It's literally just

RButton::LButton

in an ahk script!

If they struggle to get the left button without also getting the right, presumably a standard keyboard is a nightmare for them, so you might want to consider getting them a larger one of those too? These are often targeted at Early Years so they're brightly coloured, which could be a bit patronising depending on this student's age, but I know that the RNIB do "adult coloured" ones - search for "monster keys" on Home - RNIB Online Shop, other stockists no doubt exist too.
