suej Posted November 5, 2008 Author Posted November 5, 2008 The Head/Bursar always state that salary will be based on experience! Sorry not to be able to give more exact detail but should be of a level that would be regarded as good by the majority of people on this site .
sparkeh Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Hmm not knowing the salary in advance would put me off I think.
suej Posted November 6, 2008 Author Posted November 6, 2008 I totally agree, and I have been back to SMT and they have finally agreed that they will let me have the salary band later this morning. As soon as I have it I will post it here for you. Hopefully it will be of a level that will allow you to apply Regards Sue
suej Posted November 6, 2008 Author Posted November 6, 2008 I have just heard back form SMT we are able to say that the salary will be from £25,000 depending on experience. Hope this helps! Regards Sue 1
john Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Its a common things with independent schools to put that Salary will be based on experience then they can decide at the time what they want to offer, which is annoying I agree, but in this case they have said which is good
GrumbleDook Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 (edited) Folks Because I have stepped in before on this matter, on behalf of the admins and mods I will say this one final time. Under no circumstances have a go at someone posting a job about the salary the school is willing to pay. Quite often the people who you are ranting at do not have the power to make any change, or if they do they are trying to set a salary in keeping with equivalent jobs within their region. If you wish to discuss whether the job merits the salary offered take it to another thread and make sure you have information to back up your statements. Demanding more money for the sake of it will get IT Professionals working in education nowhere. Mods will tidy this thread up later but if this continues then infractions will be issued. The thread has been split but the other posts have gone to the ether ... we will find them and put them into their own thread ... normal service will resume as soon as possible. Edited November 12, 2008 by GrumbleDook thread split but with problems!
