Free Survey Software

Anyone know of any survey/questionnaire software out there. We have used surveymonkey (web based) but the trial only allows you to use 10 questions and the reporting is not easy to extract.

 

I am after a piece of software to create reports and then analyse the data.

 

Any help?

I set up LimeSurvey for my other half to use during her dissertation research. She said it was quite good compared to others she had looked at.

We use limesurvey alongside our joomla website for surveying students.

 

Our work with this survey is featured on the nfer website http://www.nfer.ac.uk/research-areas/projects/assessing-enterprise-capability-guidance-for-schools.cfm it doesn't list specifics though.

You can do basic analysis with limesurvey and create graphs if the server has jgraph installed but otherwise you need to use another tool for the analysis.

 

You can export to excel I'm just wondering if anyone has found a good 3rd party tool to analyse the data as the consultant that is working on stuff for the nfer has asked about a new survey they want to do.

Google Docs allows you to create a form, which then populates a spreadsheet with the info. You can embed the form in a web page or email it to people. I've used them a lot and they aren't bad.

That's exactly what I'm planning to learn how to do over Xmas. I've seen it done and it looks great. Next step - self marking tests using the populated spreadsheet.

Sharepoint can do this.....all built in with ad permissioning.

Yep even Sharepoint Services 3 (the free one) can do this as standard - we've just started using it for staff anf pupil surveys - you can export yout results to Excel file at the click of the mouse if you want to set up some advanced graphing or reporting.
